The Most Capable Off-Road Super Duty Ever Is Coming

 

Super Duty it can’t get anymore capable, right? Wrong. The 2020 Tremor Off-Road package is coming to Super Duty, and it’s blowing away every expectation of what a Ford Super Duty can do. This all-new package is packed with upgraded hardware and advanced tech that will give you the tools to tackle the toughest terrain. Lifted, beefy, and capable of Super Duty levels of towing and hauling this new package is taking on the Ram Power Wagon in a big way.

 

“A growing number of Super Duty customers use their trucks for more than work. They’re fishing, camping and towing boats on weekends and they go off-road, so we designed this truck specifically for them – more ground clearance, bigger shocks, bigger tires and more off-road capability,” said Todd Eckert, Ford truck group marketing manager. “Tremor balances what customers demand in terms of work with what they need in the great outdoors.”

 

Look, your life doesn’t have one side. You work hard and you play hard — it’s not a cliche it’s a fact of life. You demand towing and hauling capability to get your job done right, and you need climbing and mudding capability to get your fun done right. This package gives you the best of both worlds with towing and hauling capabilities on par with standard Super Dutys and it’s the most capable off-road Super Duty ever. Tremor is available for XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum F-250s and F-350s.

 

The upgrades start from the ground up. Tremor sports an aggressive set of 35-inch-diameter Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac maximum-traction tires: the largest diameter tires available on any heavy-duty pickup. These tires are mounted on some serious 18-inch matte-finished black wheels.

 

The Tremor also comes standard with a  2-inch front-end lift and a shorter air dam resulting in an impressive 10.8 inches of ground clearance. This thing absolutely crushes every obstacle. Did we mention the Tremor provides the best-in-class water fording of 33 inches and the best approach and departure angles of any Super Duty ever.

 

Any serious off-roader knows the importance of a locking rear differential, and Ford is serious about off-roading. The Tremor comes standard with a locking rear differential that’s paired with electronic shift-on-the-fly engagement and a new Dana® limited-slip front differential. These hardware upgrades give Tremor models the power to sense when a tire has lost traction in certain modes and use the brakes to send power to the wheel with traction. Getting stuck is for Rams, you’re in a Ford.
