Part of Ford’s mission is to give back to the community, and the American car company did that recently during the 13th annual 2016 Ford Driving Skills for Life tour. The mobile clinic will cross the U.S. and 34 countries. This year it welcomed a new addition to its lesson plan. The Drugged Driving Suit teaches young people about the real dangers of driving under the influence of illegal drugs.
According to the 2013 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, about 9.9 million people ages 12 and older reported driving under the influence of illegal drugs. And the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reports that roughly 18-percent of all drivers’ deaths involve drugs other than alcohol, such as marijuana and cocaine.
