Ford, the American automaker is going to be introducing the much anticipated, EcoSport facelift in November in Sao Paulo at the 2016 International Motor Show. Ford had started testing this face lifted version of the car at the end of 2015 and the SUV has been spotted on a number of occasions since then.
Growth

Over the last few years, the compact SUV has seen some rapid growth around the world. It has mostly gone unrivaled since it was an early bird in the compact SUV segment. But that has changed now that so many other compact SUVs have come into the picture as well. The EcoSport has seen marginal declines recently, and the facelift is exactly what the car needed in order to get back on track.
The updated car is also going to go on sale in the United States for the time which is among the biggest reasons why Ford is most probably going to give it a comprehensive update both on the inside as well as the outside. Mechanically, the car has always been a strong package, and this is one aspect of this SUV which is going to remain the same even now.
The EcoSport is aerodynamic and just cuts through the win. You would think with curves like that this car could be a sports car but it is much too high for that so you also get the elevated view when driving down the road. This car can hold all of your groceries and anything else you are carrying around. It is easy to enter and exit and is very cozy inside the cabin.
Features

The EcoSport comes with a brilliant package which features 6 airbags, AppLink and SYNC, leather seats, 205 mm ground clearance, etc. It has been a runaway success wherever it has been launched. But with better-equipped and better rivals being introduced regularly, the EcoSport has been losing ground of late.
Lights & Technology
This being said, the face lifted EcoSport will also be coming with a number of additional features including daytime running LEDs, projector headlamps, and a revamped dashboard with a big touch screen infotainment system (most probably the SYNC3) which will help it regain its lead again.

Let's take a look at a few of the things we can expect from the new EcoSport:
o The EcoSport will most probably get a revised front grille and some sharp edges just like the Kuga SUV from the international portfolio of the company. The new grille is also going to get some newly designed headlamps.
o The current EcoSport comes with a rear door mounted spare wheel which makes it stand out from the rest. There are rumors going around that Ford is going to drop this design in the new face lifted version of the EcoSport. Emerging reports show that Ford is going to keep the spare wheel on its rear door.
o The cabin is going to get spruced up with a brand new steering wheel, center console, instrument panel, and color display for the SYNC infotainment system. The basic layout will remain unchanged on the dashboard, though.
o Apart from the reworked lineup of engines, there is also going to be a 1.5 L Dragon 3 cylinder petrol engine which will most probably be released along with the new EcoSport.
o The production of the car for Europe will be out of Romania while the Indian production will be from Ford's Chennai plant. The Chennai plant is going to be producing the new version not just for the Indian market, but for other Asian countries as well as the US too.
This is perhaps one of the most awaited compact SUVs in the world over the last few years. We can't wait to see what Ford comes up with this time around.
