There will only be four-hundred of the Dallas Cowboys edition of the Ford F-150. These trucks are all going to feature the iconic Cowboys logo on the door sills and exterior badging. The logo is also going to be embossed in the cargo box bed's mat.

Too bad Ford cannot do something about Tony Romo all those pick six’s he seems to like to throw.

Dallas Cowboys

Ford has been the official vehicle manufacturer for the Dallas Cowboys for the last 20 years. The launch of the special edition F-150 is in celebration of the opening of the Ford Center, a training facility and 1,200 seater indoor stadium at the Star in Frisco, Texas.

These F-150s are all ready for the gridiron. It's a touchdown not just for the Dallas Cowboys but for Ford as well. But you know who gets the biggest win? Cowboy football fans. Well, they have had to deal with Romo for years and anyone who knows about football knows that has been pretty tough to deal with.

It's been twenty-two years since the Dallas Cowboys teamed up with Ford to offer a Cowboys edition of the F-150. There is no better way of celebrating the opening of the Ford Center and beginning the new season than offering fans of the F-150 and the Cowboys a chance to buy one of these magnificent trucks. Now if Ford could just bring back Jimmy Johnson?

Texas is the largest truck market in the country and the F-Series by Ford is the bestselling truck in the state. Ford already has a very longstanding relationship with this state, from working together with the Cowboys for more than a couple of decades to their longstanding ties with the King Ranch. Texas has low taxes and is kind to business and this is why businesses do better in Texas than in states like New York and California which are actually losing businesses.

The Truck

The foundation for this limited edition truck begins with a Built Ford Tough F-150 XLT, and a Chrome Package painted in the legendary helmet silver of the Cowboys. Apart from the regular features of the XLT, there is some unique content that the trucks will be getting too. They include:

• Exclusive Cowboys Edition badging on the front doors and the tailgate.
• A blue, white, and blue rocker panel striping which pays tribute to the helmet strip of the team.
• 20-inch chrome wheels which have the unique Cowboys star center caps.
• A molded heavy-duty cargo bed mat with the iconic star logo of the Cowboys.
• Chrome foot plates with the Cowboys word marked on the front doors.
• The Cowboys edition logo stitched into the front and the rear floor mats.
• An interior badge with "1 of 400" written on it, autographed by the president, owner, and GM of the Cowboys, Jerry Jones. No, Jimmy Johnson does not to buy one of these! Die hard fans do though!

Two Brands

Everyone that works for the Cowboys is excited about this new F-150 edition. Both brands are known the world over for their long winning traditions and rich heritages. The fans of the Cowboys are among the most passionate in the world. They are very proud to be partners with Ford and the Texas Ford dealers who are going to be bringing the special edition F-150 to the fans. It certainly is the ultimate truck for all Cowboy’s fans.

The Star is going to serve as the corporate headquarters for the team. It will feature practice fields, a multi-purpose indoor stadium for Cowboys players, and athletes from the Independent School District in Frisco. The car is currently on sale at selected Ford dealers in Texas.

The Ford F-150 is currently leading the US automobile truck market ahead of rivals like Chevy which is offering the Silverado which was built using tax payer dollars but that is another topic. They ran a campaign where they compared the Silverado with the F-150, but that didn't worked out too well for them. Not even TO was impressed with that and he is not a big fan of the Cowboys either.
