Those who prefer the commanding snarl of the Coyote V8 will probably opt for the GT variant when the 2018 Ford Mustang arrives in dealerships this autumn. But in addition to its visual tweaks, the V8-powered model also adds on new options. Among them is an available Active Valve Performance Exhaust with Quiet Mode.
In Quiet Mode, the exhaust note of the Mustang GT lowers to about 72 decibels, and definitely won’t wake up any slumbering neighbors. The feature can be scheduled for certain hours, or toggled on or off as needed. Like the EcoBoost model, the Mustang GT also sees a jump in power to 460 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque. With the GT Performance Package, MagneRide Dampers, and 10-speed automatic transmission, sprints in four seconds or less will be par for the course.
The excitement offered by the 2018 Mustang GT will be difficult to match in a competing model. To get behind the wheel of one, let us know your interest by contacting our Ford dealership in East Windsor, NJ at your convenience.
