You're driving along and want to switch lanes; glancing and thinking you're clear, you make your move and suddenly, you hear a horn. It was a vehicle in your blind spot. Wouldn't it be great to have a system that alerted you to vehicles in your blind spot to help avoid this? Ford's Blind Spot Information System makes this possible!
The Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) uses sensors to detect vehicles up to ten feet behind your bumper and will trigger a blinking warning light on the mirror of the side the oncoming vehicle is on.
The BLIS also has Cross Traffic alert; with similar sensors, when your car is put in reverse you will be alerted if there are vehicles coming up to 45 feet away on either side as you back up.
