At the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Ford Motor Company introduced the all-new 2018 F-150 -- a truck that’s tougher, smarter and more capable than ever.

The 2018 F-150 features its most advanced engine lineup ever, building on its performance leadership by offering the model’s best towing capacity ever. A 3.3-liter V6 engine, with direct injection for improved efficiency, comes standard and is projected to produce 282 horsepower and 253 pound-feet of torque. The all-new second-generation 2.7-liter EcoBoost engine boasts dual port and direct injection technology for better output, efficiency, durability and quality. This engine will be paired to a segment-exclusive 10-speed automatic transmission, as will the 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine.

The naturally-aspirated 5.0-liter V8 offers increased power and torque, and will be mated to the 10-speed automatic transmission. And, for the first time ever, a 3.0-liter Power Stroke diesel engine is being offered for the F-150.

Ford F-150 is now the first full-size pickup truck to include automatic start/stop as a standard feature across all trims and engines. The 2018 F-150 will be available in the fall and is being built at the company’s Dearborn Truck Plant in Dearborn, Michigan, and Kansas City Assembly Plant in Claycomo, Missouri.
