There are very few trucks which would be able to generate the amount of excitement that the new Ford Raptor has managed to. Even for the most casual truck lovers, the announcement of a new Raptor has made huge waves.

There are a number of changes when compared with the previous Raptor from the 6.2 L V8 which has been replaced with the 3.5L EcoBoost twin-turbo engine and electronic waste gates. The car also comes with 450 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque along with a 10-speed auto console and paddle shifter.
With such abilities and power, it may just be a prudent idea to keep your hands on the wheel at all times.
The shocks could be controlled depending on the mode you have selected. You will be able to operate settings manually, or you could just select the button on your steering wheel for the mode you would like. You can choose from weather, sand, mud, Baja, rock crawl, and normal.
The mode you select will determine all the settings. The truck will affect the FOX dampening, turbo lag, shift schedule, ABS, and so forth. But there's even more; there are three steering modes which offer additional steering feedback. It is just like the truck can adapt to the way you would like to drive that day.

Autonomous trucks are coming sooner than you think and driving skills aren't as important as they used to be. Lately, trucks have become much easier to tow, jump sand dunes, and climb mountains. The Raptor which has the 4.10 rear axle has been rated to be able to tow as much as 8,000 pounds.
The truck also gets a 3-inch dual exhaust which goes higher from the rear bumper for a departure angle of 23 degrees and an approach angle of 30 degrees. This means that traction is terrific and the truck works just as well even when on pavement. In the sand, the tires showed a little additional traction too. The tires on the truck are 6-ply 35-inch, with wheels which look like bead lockers and have been made to upgrade to bead locker rings.
The Raptor has a new aluminum body too which is 500 pounds lighter when compared to the previous generation, and also has a stronger boxed frame. The aluminum skid plates ensure that your truck is always ready for work even if you take it out to climb up and around some mountains over the weekend. There are 360-degree cameras too which can really come in handy while getting through drive-thrus since the body is wide to make it extra comfy inside. Plenty of room for your dog to sleep and rest!
