We’re thrilled to announce that Ford just unveiled details about the new 2022 Expedition, including unique features and trims. The new model comes with updated styling, bigger and more vibrant touchscreens, an updated suspension system, a new system for hands-free driver assistance, and two new trim levels that are expected to bolster the full-size SUV's capabilities, both on- and off-road when it debuts in the first quarter of 2022.

The 2022 Expedition’s BlueCruise system offers hands-free driving modes across over 130,000 miles of prequalified highways in North America. It modulates the vehicle’s speed and steering while also checking up on the driver’s attentiveness via infrared sensors. The new SUV also features a refreshing exterior design, improved ground clearance, and other rugged features like upgraded tires and a well-engineered skid plate to protect the vehicle’s undercarriage.

For 2022, each Expedition is powered by an EcoBoost twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6. In the vehicle’s stock models—the XL, STX, and XLT—the engine puts out 380 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque for enhanced power and control.

The new Expedition Timberline package is powered by a 3.5L EcoBoost V6, which delivers a staggering 440 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque for an unmatched power-to-weight ratio in its class. Supported with Ford’s 10-speed automatic transmission, the twin-turbo engine powers the vehicle’s 4-wheel drive with a two-speed transfer case.

For those looking for the new Expedition’s road-specific performance, a new Stealth Edition Performance Package model is part of the lineup on both the Expedition’s Limited and Limited MAX editions. At the forefront of the package is the Raptor's sports-tuned suspension with active dampers and big 22-inch black alloy tires, including gloss-black exterior trim that rounds out the SUV’s overall appearance.

The 2022 Ford Expedition will be produced at the Ford Kentucky Truck Plant and is expected to launch in early 2022.  For any questions or concerns regarding the all-new 2022 Ford Expedition, don’t hesitate to contact Haldeman Ford in East Windsor, NJ online, by phone, or in-person today!
