In the past year, Ford’s new compact truck, the Maverick, has become incredibly popular, perfectly filling an overlooked niche of drivers who need more capability that a sedan or SUV can offer but not as much as a tough, brawny pickup truck. However, Ford has no intentions of resting on their laurels with the success of the Maverick. For the 2023 model year, the Maverick will be available with another popular Ford product– the Tremor Off-Road package.

The 2023 Maverick and 2023 Maverick Tremor will become available for retail order in September of this year.

One of the many upsides of the Maverick Tremor is that it will be an excellent starter option for drivers who are looking for more off-roading capability but don’t want to sacrifice a practical, compact vehicle that can fit easily into their daily lives.

The Maverick Tremor will have a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine, and the new addition of an all-wheel-drive system. With five selectable drive modes, drivers can easily fine-tune the truck’s on-road and off-road capability with settings for pavement, mud, sand or snow. A mode for towing conditions is also included. Exclusive Trail Control contributes even more to the truck’s powerful off-roading capability. The Maverick Tremor has a maximum towing capacity of 2,000 pounds and a payload rating of 1,200 pounds.

The Tremor update gives the Maverick much bolder and more rugged styling on top of its new capabilities. The new look features a unique grille finish, blacked-out Ford logos, headlamps and taillamps, and Tremor Orange coloring on the two front tow hooks. Also available is the Tremor Appearance Package, giving the truck a Carbonized Gray roof and mirror caps with black side graphics on the hood and lower body. Inside, Black Onyx seats with stitched Tremor logos and Tremor Orange accents contribute to the look as well.

“Ranger, F-150 and Super Duty customers have embraced the unique off-road capability, technology and appearance updates found across our Tremor family of trucks,” said Todd Eckert, Ford truck product marketing and brand manager. “Maverick Tremor delivers on this same promise with new functions and features designed for off-roading – all while keeping the truck’s signature size, affordability, and Built Ford Tough durability and capability.”

Production for the new Maverick will begin in the fall, with order banks opening in September.
