New Ford CEO Jim Farley is well-known as a classic car enthusiast, but champion-grade race car driver? Now that’s something else entirely.

Last week, Farley flew to California to participate in the Trans Am SpeedTour at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca series, which is organized by the Sportscar Vintage Racing Association, in order to celebrate a first-quarter earnings report that far exceeded investor expectations.

Ford’s long-anticipated hands-free driving system has finally been given a name: Ford BlueCruise. Previously known as Active Drive Assist, the feature is expected to go live in the third quarter of 2021 for both the all-new 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E and completely revamped 2021 Ford F-150.

This past Wednesday, Ford stated that the BlueCruise software can be activated via an over-the-air update and will cost $600 for a three-year subscription, in addition to the hardware costs that vary by vehicle.
